More Midgard with my Evil army taking on Dave's some-sort-of-fantasy-eastern-army (aka Seleucids!).
The terrain was quite restrictive and I deployed very badly with too many units on too short a frontage which was apparent on looking at the initial set up:
Very quickly it looks like my left flank will be overwhelmed being defended only by the Ghoul infantry and cavalry:
A nasty gap is developing between my left and centre while on the right the Orc archers and Wolf Riders have nowhere to go. Please note the Dragon isn't actually a Dragon, just a general:
The left is being pushed back and is heavily outnumbered:
The Ghouls try to hold off cavalry:
On the right the mass of Orc archers and Wolf Riders are stuck in traffic:
Resistance is weakening on the left:
The Ghoul cavalry are swamped:
With Pikemen storming through the Evil centre the battle is a disaster and victory goes to the Seleucids:
Certainly not one of my better efforts from a poor deployment to indecisive and ineffective attempts at redeployment which failed miserably. Dave took full advantage of my inept efforts and methodically demolished my army!
